Antonio Ceriello is Head of the Diabetes Research Department of the Istituto di Ricovero e Cura a Carattere Scientifico (IRCCS) MultiMedica, Milan, Italy. He has published widely in the field of diabetes, with over 500 original peer-reviewed papers published. He has chaired the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) committee producing guidelines for the management of postmeal glucose and is currently President of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) study group on Diabetes and Cardiovascular Diseases.
