Research interest
General Research Interests: My research has focused on three major areas in cardiovascular epidemiology and prevention: 1) Epidemiology and prognosis of diabetes and cardiovascular disease, including cardiovascular risk factor control in diabetes 2) coronary evaluated by computed tomography and other subclinical measures of atherosclerosis and their epidemiology (including relation to diabetes and metabolic syndrome) and prognosis 3) Evaluation and predictors of residual cardiovascular disease risk, including dyslipidemia, hypertension, and cardiac biomarkers in population-based studies and registries.
