include safety and efficacy studies of botanical dietary supplements, with ingredients such as ginger, turmeric and green tea. Her research has been funded by the National Institute of Health, the Kansas Bioscience Authority, Heartland Plant Innovations, Inc., and others. She is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the American Society of Pharmacognosy (ASP). In 2019, she was selected by the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services to serve as a National Institutes of Health (NIH/NCCIH) National Advisory Council Member.
