This Privacy Policy explains how AzeoRx Pharmaceuticals LLC ("we", "us"), operator of SciResearcher ("the Service", at sciresearcher.com), collects, uses, shares, and protects information. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — when you create an account, we collect your name and email address and store a securely hashed password.
• Payment information — paid subscriptions are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number; Stripe handles card data under its own privacy terms.
• Usage data — searches you run, pages you view, outreach you send, and similar activity, used to operate and improve the Service and to enforce usage limits.
• Cookies — we use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to count free searches for anonymous visitors. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.
• Researcher profile data — see Section 2.

2. Researcher profile data (public-source information)

Most profiles on SciResearcher are compiled from publicly available scholarly and professional sources — including open databases such as OpenAlex, PubMed, and arXiv, public grant records, and institutional web pages. This may include a researcher's name, affiliation, research areas, publications, public metrics, and professional contact details that are already published publicly. We process this information to provide a professional research-discovery directory, on the basis of our legitimate interest in offering such a service and the public, professional nature of the data.

If you are a researcher and would like your profile corrected or removed, email contact@sciresearcher.com. We honor removal and correction requests.

3. How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To create and manage your account and process subscriptions.
• To send outreach messages you initiate and show you their status.
• To communicate with you about your account, security, and support.
• To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, and technical issues.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal account data. We share information only with:

• Service providers that operate the Service on our behalf — for example, our payment processor (Stripe) and email-delivery provider — under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements — where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.

5. Data retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 7).

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights — or to have a researcher profile removed — email contact@sciresearcher.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

8. Children

The Service is intended for researchers and professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International users

We operate from the United States, and your information may be processed there. By using the Service you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
