Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SciResearcher (the "Service"), operated by AzeoRx Pharmaceuticals LLC. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

SciResearcher is a research-discovery platform that lets users search a directory of researchers compiled from public scholarly sources, view profiles, and send outreach messages. Features and limits (including free-search allowances) may change over time.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your password secure, and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old and provide truthful information.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute data from the Service except as expressly permitted.
• Use contact information obtained through the Service to send spam, harassment, or unlawful communications. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable anti-spam and communications laws (such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CASL) in any outreach you send.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Use the Service for any unlawful, deceptive, or abusive purpose.

4. Subscriptions & billing

• The Service offers a free tier with limited searches and a paid subscription. Current pricing is shown on our subscription page.
• Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically for successive terms unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals, and access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

5. Data accuracy & no professional advice

Researcher information is aggregated from public sources by automated means and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. The Service is provided for informational and professional-networking purposes only and is not a consumer report; you may not use it for any purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) or to make decisions about employment, credit, or similar eligibility. Verify important details independently.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and original content, is owned by AzeoRx Pharmaceuticals LLC and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will be accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AZEORX PHARMACEUTICALS LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Colorado will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
